Hi Scott
I do like your thinking and see you have muchbmore understanding than I.
I generally run my 720ah lithium MV down to around 30% before I top them up with the generator and usually only to

Re: Genoa car springs
Hi Alan:
A couple of thoughts:
1. I highly recommend modifying the track so that you can remove the car easily by simply removing one bolt at the aft end of the track. See my picture below on

I, for.one, have learned a few things from their videos. Yes, I've spotted a few things along the way that made me say "oh, I could've helped you with (or prevent) that!" but by in large thwy handle

Nick,
When I run the WM, the Dessalator gauge reads well over 100 liters per hour but it appears a bit optimistic. I assume you're checking the dipstick prior to running it for one hour and then

Re: AmelYachtOwners] ----Peter please take a look at the attached link--Storm tactics
Eric,
An excellent article. Thank you for sharing. The more I research and read, the more I'm inclined to reach for a JSD over a sea anchor.

Re: Wintering in potentially freezing conditions, watermaker?
Thanks Mark and Tom,
I’ve found the Starbrite Pink antifreeze online at Force4 chandlery in the UK. Good to -46C.
I think it’s probably the same product that you use, since it’s sold in US

Re: Genoa car springs
I have at the end of the rail about 15 cm on each side cut off. This was the only way for me to remove the Traveler. Then it can be lifted off

Re: Genoa car springs
So today I sawed through the cotter pin and removed the remnants...but that rod is firmly stuck. Tried the grip it and hit it technique, nothing
Others have suggested removing the car and soaking it

Re: Antal Block and Dyneema loops
WD-40 is good for starting a diesel but for lubrication it is poor as it absorbs water. Inox does the same job and repels water.
To loosen up rusted in place things PB Blaster is far superior.
