Here are photos of the full height companionway screen made from "spring steel." One could, of course, get two smaller rigid screens but I think that this has a cleaner look and may be less expensive

You need 2 parts (rack).one for each cable.
The rack is in aluminium and need periodic maintenance

It is not difficult to take the rack and pinion apart.
You have the same problem that I had the rack makes a thunk noise when it hits the damaged rack area Fortunately I had bought a spare set
