Courtney, here are some more photos of the engine bracket. I have seen it on other Amels. The wood is a real Marine laminate. There are two SS straps that giver the top rail and hold it all

Also use additive in my fuel – don’t have (much) soot at all but that might be bcoz I have the D3 H version which apparently runs more efficient than the D3 C.

Removal of the wood panels was one of my concerns as well. Fortunately there was some relatively recent discussion on the boards that indicated that the panels are fastened in with the bolts
