Hi Teun, there certainly seems to be a widespread reluctance to insure off shore yachts. Who is the company that gave you your cover and the broker that arranged it.

We made a template.from large wrapping paper then bought a "remnant" piece from a big-box store.

We went with the SOP solution; keep the breaker off. Additionally, the fresh water pump LED goes green when the breaker is pushed in vs when the pump is active.....it helps me remember to turn it
