Re: Mizzen furler
Danny, You can understand my confusion, knowing your athletic prowess ,it was easy for me to envision you with a hose between your teeth climbing to the top of the mast .Don't know if it is true, but

Hi Pat, yes I did refer to flushing a swivel at the top but meant the one that is at the top when the sail is hoisted. I don't recall the exact wording of my post but it should have included dropping

Actually, the furled sail serves the purpose, most of the time.

Bill ,Did not know that ,I always assumed that there was something there to keep the foil centered,of course the swivel serves that purpose when the sail is hoisted. Live and learn.
Thanks,
Pat

Pat
There is nothing at the top of the foil other than the swivel when it is hoisted to the top.

Danny, I thought you once before suggested in a previous post to flush a swivel at the top of the mast, and I assumed there must be a swivel at the very top of the mast to keep the foil centered ,but

D60 24v Dessalator Solenoid Connections
Hi Everyone,
I did something a little bit stupid. When working in theengine room, I pressed against the 24v pump for the fresh water maker. When Idid, the two wires pulled away from the solenoid

Re: Prepping Onan for short-medium term non-use?
Hi Scott;
It is nice to hear you have had such success with the conversion to Lithium. We will be doing the same in the next battery change.
I would consider running the generator periodically

Danny , Its not the top swivel that is the problem, its is the swivel/car which pulls up the sail that is having a problem. I suppose I will first flush it out well before I take it apart and see if

We have the Onan 11kw on our A54 and after fixing the solar wiring (bad install), we are finding that we don't need to use the generator anymore here in sunny Maui.

Re: Mizzen furler
Hi Pat,
before you start any disassembly try this. Lower the sail and flush the swivel with copious quantities of fresh water. Despite the fact it is at the top of the mast it will have salt in it

Ofcourse I remember you and Diana!!
Talked to Jonas and he think that the mizzen and the one on the main is similar.
But it sounds like you have managed to take it down now.
Regards to Diana!
