Re: Genoa Chain Plate bolts Leaking in aft hanging closet
Hello Paul,
Thanks for the response. Are there nuts under the rub rail, because the bolt heads are in the closet? Or, are the bolts threaded into the chainplate somehow? Other questions... There

I can tell you that the many times we painted the bottom, it took most of a 20-liter pale (available in most parts of the world). We painted 2 full coats and a 3rd on the waterline, keel, skeg,

Re: Sq. footage of hull
Pat,
I don’t knowthe sq ft but, I have always estimated 4 gallons for three coats. Also, I addan extra gallon for extra paint at the water-line and downward about one foot.Total: 5 gallons.

Re: Sq. footage of hull
Hi Pat we are about to antifoul our SM2K and we did the calculations as follows:
To paint a 14.5 (lwl) x 4.6 x 2.1 fin-keeled-racing, with 3 coats
You'll need 14 litres

Sq. footage of hull
I am buying Interprotect 2000 and I want to order the correct number of gallons to do three coats. Does anyone know how many sq. feet the hull is on a SM ? If I ever knew I have forgotten.

Hello Amelians,
Aquarius has sprung a leak in the aft closet. I have traced it back to one of the 4 bolts holding the Genoa chainplate in place. Has anyone else had this problem, and are there any

Hey Bill- great pics of your tidy work with your sea chest. By hull #422 (our boat) Amel was installing a ball valve ahead of the 5 port manifold. You could be running the engine or genset and cut off

Could you take an appropriate sized plastic pipe fitting to a plumbing or machine shop and have them cut the threads into the plastic?
