Re: A54 Nav station seat replacement
Scott,
I also had an uncomfortable spot right in the middle of the seat @ the nav station; it almost looked something was trying to poke thru the leather. Last year December, when AMELIT went on

Re: Gib Track Plugs
Hi Mark,
I didn't coat them with anything. As to longevity, I only have two or three years up so far but I have no reason to expect them to fail prematurely.

Thanks Eric. Yes my plugs do fit.
I like the caulk idea but I already have the plugs and Ithink using them might be less labor intensive.

Not sure how all of you keep your engine room smelling fresh! We have a bucket for pre-washing dishes which we physically walk outside to dump overboard and it still smells a bit in the engine room

Hi Mark,
I replaced mine with the plugs from Amel. Very happy with the result. I cleaned out the holes and tapped the new plugs in with a rubber hammer. Takes a while digging the old and crumbling

Amel sent me plugs years ago. They looked like the original ones that came with my new boat, but they did not fit. Do your plugs fit the hole?
Olivier suggested something like life caulk

Kent,
As it stands now, the manifold is planned to be produced in the SM 2000 configuration. I am also planning that it be shipped with 2 plugs.
The next step is a trial installation. An A-54 owner

Hi Pat,
Great, I'm going to give it a try.
It's going to have to wait, though, we've decided to cancel our sailing plans until the Covid rules stabilize... the BVI approach finally did it for me.
