Re: Onan Generator Exhaust thru hull
HI,
Amel suggested removing all the old sealant and replacing it with 4200. So far 6 years no problems.

Re: Diesel heater install
Thanks Randall,
I have seen that episode, hydronic may be an easier option, much smaller hoses to get around.
Kind regards

Re: Diesel heater install
I recall Delos did a water heater install. They started in the Bahamas I think and finished the install stateside. Drilled manny holes though. Not something I would want but looked warm, for colder

Hi Bill and Eric,
We have another transducer in a normal thruhull in the location you mentioned as well which I suspect may be a depth unit,
I'm wondering if the one shown in the photo is a depth

Re: Diesel heater install
Hi,
I suggested a hot water system -hydronic- not a fresh air.
If you go with the hot air system, there are ways to make the bulkheads watertight. That arrangement came with Kimberlite when I added

Welcome Giovanni and hi Elja
We arrived yesterday in Kalamata and will stay at least a year in the marina in the water.
First impressions very good, nice town and a wonderful part of Greece.

For what it’s worth, I have a 1976 Amel Meltem and the generator and engine exhaust are combined into a fiberglass “Y” that is fiberglassed into the hull and exits on the port side just above

Re: Onan Generator Exhaust thru hull
Hi Richie,
I think Amel did it on purpose. Hot salt water will corrode metal pretty fast and if you go with metal it will become constant maintenance/replacement issue.
after all it served you for

Thank you all for valuable information. I have ordered Rocna33. Maybe I am on the light side with this but I am convinced that anchoring system is not just anchor but is chain as well plus knowledge

Hi all,
Im planning to leave Eutikia on the hard at Kalamata Marina. Do you know if the pool liftout draft is enough for SM 2k? Any suggestion about Marina professional workers?
Many thanks

Pat,
After rewiring 2 engines in my boat, I believe you would be hard pressed to find someone who understood the system, beside another Amel owning nut job like myself.
