Re: AMFA bilge pump spare part
Hi Ian,
You can check my earlier posts from a few years ago about repairing the plastic wheel - I had to repair it twice in 20 years, last time maybe 10 years ago - still working fine!

Bernd,
On my SN I used a filet knife to cut the sealant of the windscreen/dodger, lifted it with a halyard enough to remove the hatch door. I replaced it with a plexiglass door - fantastic to brighten

Hi Ian,
I received one from Maud at Amel about 3 weeks ago. You might also consider getting the 2 flapper valves.

Re: AMFA bilge pump spare part
Hello, there are BOSCH wiper motors for 24V that work perfect to replace the original motor and gear. Just look at ebay. Cost about 50 euros plus shipping in Europe.

I lifted my hatch 1/2 way, cut it in two horizontally, installed a piano hinge and voila! It take me 5 minutes to remove and reinstall my hatch. Pictures are on the Amel site but contact me and

Re: AMFA bilge pump spare part
Hi Ian,
Yes mine broke too,
I fixed it by remaking the missing teeth from a block of nylon. On passage, so I had the time.. Still works perfect.

Seals for main sail manual furler gearbox
As promised I checked yesterday and the top seal on my main sail manual furler gear box is as I remembered 60x45x7. When I got the new one the supplier didn't have the 7mm so gave me an 8mm.

Re: Opacmare - replacing sensor
Arno,
that is what I did with pressing the grease by the screws between the rotating and stationary part without disconnecting all ( electric, Hydraulic ) parts.
So with #162 they changed the design

Re: Installing membranes
No need to reply to my question , I found a You tube where it showed that you need to go around the tube pushing the seal in bit by bit with a screwdriver and eventually the membrane will go

There are several ways to remove the companion way slide. I am not familiar with the details of the way an SN is assembled, all my comments apply to the SM.
