The main problem is to remove the element because theres no space to turn the tool (55 mm hex wrench). There are two metal tubes that runout from the heater very close to the element.

Most of these give you good access when you remove the electric heating element. I have not opened a QUICK brand, just an Isotemp brand.
Once you look inside, you will never drink water from the water

You should speak to Mark McGovern (CC'd). As you know when Amel stopped supplying the PCB for the bow thruster Mark made some for Amel owners. Mark is intimately familiar with the PCB operation.
