Re: Near constant hot water without a generator - Here is how i did it.
Hi Davi,
With only one engine water heat exchanging coil inside the tank you can only use either the propulsion engine or the generator; not both as their cooling circuits would be tied together. If

Re: D3-110 timing belt replacement the easy way?
Excellent job!
Changing timing belts on schedule is critical to avoiding catastrophic engine failure if one breaks in use. Anything to make it easier is really helpful.

Hi Brainstrust,
The Volvo workshop manual details the process for changing the timing belt, requiring a bunch of specialised tooling. Mark Mueller from SV Brass Ring posted a fabulous summary of how

I can't comment too intelligently about this except to second parts4engines.com from the UK for perkins parts. Unfortunately because of Brexit, it's a bit more of a hassle to use them here in the EU,

Re: AGM storage and Solar question please.
Porter,
The need for a regular return to absorption is less important for AGM than it is for Flooded batteries. With a flooded battery the acid can stratify over time. The more concentrated acid

Kent,
I just did both, fore and aft heads on my boat. We did not take that panel off. We used a 90deg drill and a 1.5 inch Forster bit to ream out the copper we could not pull out. Then used a 2.5
