Pretty much the last thing you will ever do on an Amel is polish your way through the gelcoat!
We have the hull sides lightly polished and waxed annually, and we wax the deck, deck hardware, rig, and

Hi y'all,
A cosmetic question:
When we had our first plastic boat, 45 years ago, I used to clean and polish the life out of the hull and deck. I used Cif, a household cleaner, plus a variety of boat

I have glued back a bit of the insulation that was sagging a couple of times. I found single pack contact cement to be ineffective but two pack neoprene contact cement to work, so far.
Another option

The copper strap you are fitting to the keel bolt. You may find a green and yellow wire attached to the engine/C drive which is currently doing nothing. This should be attached to the top end

I am currently in the process of replacing the steel backing plates for the gas strut brackets.

I’m currently dealing with this exact problem. My Super Maramu is in a boatyard having the rust removed from the keel, but my bonding system is non-existent. I purchased a copper bar exactly

HonStu,
thanks for coming back so quickly. We’re doing a full paint job on the hull (well getting a pro to do that for us) and also the cockpit and possibly even decks - time and brain fatigue

Re: Amel off white
RAL 1013 is the colour of the deck and masts on the SM an SN - oyster white.
I don’t know a RAL colour for the hull white.

I fear you will usually be disappointed with trying to “rub out” the faded spots on an Amel deck.
The way these were made was the “brown” gel coat was brushed into the mold by hand, and then

Re: Faux deck stain
Richard,
I have seen acid or products with acid like On-OFF cause this to the colored Gelcoat faux teak. I think if that is the cause there is no reversing unless you can remove just the top surface

Faux deck stain
I have some spots where the color is gone from the faux deck, almost like drops of bleach hit it. Is there any stain that can be applied to restore the look?

Re: Amel off white
Hi Sarah & Trev:
The color is RAL 1013. It’s often called Oyster White but goes by other names as well. I hope this helps.
Definitely try a test area first. Imay not match the other off-white on
