when I did the whole refit of my Fango, some years before, I changed the deckhouse windows,too. I sent the old ones to SVB (Bremen, Germany) (svb.de) and they made new ones.

I recently had the same screeching noise on my outhaul. I found out that my outhaul sheet was tighten too much.
I guess sometime ropes are shrinking a bit with salt water over time?

Your mast will not fall down. The shrouds will keep it in place. I had to remove the top furler (with the two ‘horns) as the bearings had seized. I slackened off the back stay, put a halyard on the

We have a spare halyard made from dyneema that runs to the top of the main mast
We used that tied to a bow cleat and winched tight and then set about removing the furler after first removing

Amel have replied and confirmed that spare parts do not exist for early furler models.
I will look for a machine shop here in Italy that can do such part.
My other problem becomes now

Anything over about 12 years, and these windows are getting difficult. They are not very special. I’d suggest that you stick with acrylic instead of polycarbonate. Acrylic is much more

I have noticed this on my rig as well. I keep tweaking the sheets and jib cars to get the jib sheet axis straight through the center of gen then I keep adjusting it. It calms it down but still

on an easy sail (AWA 70deg, AWS 17kts, STW 7.5kts, 1.2m waves) I noted the main mast lower spreaders on both sides vibrating fore and aft.. Not enough to feel in the cockpit but obvious

You might try 303 multi-surface cleaner. It’s supposed to be good for cleaning vinyl. I’ve used it on my canvas with good results.

Rinse with water very well. Muriatic acid will ruin the bronze fitting on the bottom of the holding tank.

Thanks everybody. Hoses were calcified with $@!+ crystals. Got things partially flowing with muriatic acid until I reach a spot with a marina & Chandlery. Cheers..

my SM-37 has the same gearbox. Alban told me he had just rebuilt it when I purchased the boat in 2016. He is in Martinique and may have a lead on parts for it.
