Gearbox oil cooler
Sometime ago there were several posts regarding the need to service/replace the gearbox oil cooler as a preventative measure. From memory there is a supplier in the Uk, any advice, contact details,

My Santorin doesn’t have ‘looped tangs’ at the spreaders. The rigging is attached by an eye swage to the bolt that attaches the spreader to the welded mast sections. I’d assumed that all SMS

Standing Rigging replacement
I have a Rigor up the mast today checking on connections. One thing he asked was if it's recommended to replace the "tangs" (looped metal at mast side of spreaders). Are these normally replaced,

We second Bill’s recommendation, Oliver worked for Amel, lives in France and is now a surveyor specialising in Amels. You will learn a lot about the Amel philosophy from him as well as the workings

Mark and fellow Amel owners,
I can tell you I just had an outstanding experience with QSails as far as the ordering process and receiving my sails. Emrah and his crew did exactly what they said

Hi Joerg, When we bought Ocean Pearl in 2008 she had that screeching. It was caused by dried up grease in the gearbox. I stripped them, cleaned out the old grease repacked them with new. I dont

Re: Still have current when ignition is off
When a macerator begins to leak, the bonding is usually compromised.
I think that if your 24-volt alternator is the Mastervolt 110, it must be mechanically isolated from the block.

Thank you we will try the Maccarator lead tomorrow morning since we do plan to change one maccarator due to a small leak!

Looking for agent/surveyor in south of France (Med)
Hi all,
Our search for an Amel is picking up speed. As we live in the Netherlands, and we found some Amels along the most southern Mediterranean coast of France, we're looking for a good agent +

Re: Still have current when ignition is off
The red signal (-) tells you that the bonding system is connected to the house bank 24 volts. In the case where nothing has ever been modified on an A54 this can be:
Leaking seal in a macerator pump

Mark,
Be careful comparing the costs of sails for a Santorin with a SM.
If you want costs for a SM, I suggest that you look at this:

Re: Still have current when ignition is off
What do you mean: "our heat sensors?" Is this the coolant temperature sensor?
Where are you measuring this voltage? From what to what?
Has any mechanic worked on this boat and modified the bonding
