I rcall that about three or four years ago someone posted a photo of this strap with measurements showing the kinks and measurments. I found this very helpful when replacing my one.

Pat the gear box gets 40W motor oil. That's what Amel uses. Amel uses 2 zincs on the rudder. We have the same issue one goes fast the other seems not to get to much loss.

I have two zincs on my rudder.The one on the starboard side just over half way down seems to be working, slowly being eaten away.The second near the bottom of rudder on port side look almost new.Did

It is preferable to choose a stainless steel spring for not rust if it would appear some seawater
2-
If you change the seals(which normally does not wear because it is harder than the bronze ring)

JL Seals in the US claims to make an equivalent seal to the CORTECO I1 CFW BAU4 45-65-8, the seal that Amel sells. JL Seals has an ebay store that sells this seal as "45X65X8 TC Metric Oil
