Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Cockpit enclosure fittings [2 Attachments]
Thanks Danny. The only thing missing is the piece of metal on the stay where the u-shape has to rest on. May be I can attach a hose clamp.
Kind regards,
Willem

It is interesting to note that not all models of Amel boats have this sliding block arrangement. I've seen older Maramus that have welded tangs and I think all the 54s were built that

Hi Alexandre,
Many thanks for all those pictures.
Do you always need a hook ?
Do you how the hook is attached to the boat inside?
Can you make a picture?

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] day fuel tank
Thanks Alexandre
I am doing the same as you have recommended. Maybe overkill. But good to know that the fuel in the tank is clean.

We do the same. We have 10 x 20 litre containers in the port side deck locker.
We have never needed to use them and end up putting the fuel in the main tank eventually.

Hi Willem,
Olivier told me the hook on the ends goes in the ring below the mizzen boom and the u shape clamps around the mizzen side stay. It was a system provided by Amel on later model

Hi Bill.
I would have to agree with you, your experience with Harmonie proves it. However Alan of Elyse has a point too, over use of the power of the mainsheet winch by inexperienced crew. By

Re: Aft Head Hose
The "cleaning vinegar" (it was so labeled) did open the pipe enough to flush it, but not enough to flush easily and it's already plugging up. I ordered a bottle of "Sew Clean" to see if that works.

Good morning Willem,
I had a full cockpit enclosure with the same parts.
Quite frankly I never was fully sure where went where…
It seems the 2 pieces with U shape on one side and little hook on

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Aft Head Hose
FYI.
When changing discharge hoses, I decided to experiment with some of the solid cristalized urin/saltwater in the old hose. I broke see out and added it to 3 glass jars. One jar had pure vinegar,

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] day fuel tank
Thanks Bill.
I am looking at this for a little extra fuel capacity say 100-120litres and to also be able to get the filtration system sorted.
A pump system through a large filter to the day tank.
Thanks Bill.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Aft Head Hose
In my experience, it might just take months for a vinegar soak to actually do any good. For those of us who live on our boats 12 months a year, a month long soak is just not a practical solution.
