Lior,
Your 54 originally came with 2 Boxtron units for each furler. One was an E14, the other was an EM. As you might expect EM stands for "emergency." It has no safeguards or alarms. The manual

I sent this to you before. This is the best I can do for you. It is a photo of new old stock the Swiss guy had available and is now sold out. He is the person who made the furler for Amel

Re: problem with an old BOXTRON electric box of BAMAR 1.02
Lior, recently I had an issue with Boxtron box as well. In the end it turned out that my box has 3 fuses and one of them blew up. I have 14S and yours is a bit earlier model, so I can’t tell you

Re: Iskra 24v 2kw motor for SM Genoa
As a matter of interest, what was wrong with your motor and where are you having it repaired ? As you say, it may be that an alternative to the original motor is readily available. It will be good

problem with an old BOXTRON electric box of BAMAR 1.02
Hi amelians
The BAMAR 1.02 of my staysail stopped working. I tested the motor and it worked.
Unfortunately, the BOXTRON electric box needs repair or replacement. The green led inside is not on. Does

Re: Iskra 24v 2kw motor for SM Genoa
I contacted CIMA and they only take orders for 100 units or more.
Bill R’s idea of finding a compatible 24v windlass motor is intriguing. It may be just that simple. My motor is out for repairs at

Re: Black water tank issue
Tom,
I used fiberglass pipe, not PV. It is much stronger. The thickness of the wall is 1/8".
In all the years we've owned our boat, I never had to clear this pipe

Re: Twin headsail furling
Mike,
This is a good idea to get tension with an 8mm halyard. Alternatively, one could use a device that grips the 8mm loop halyard and makes it easier to haul.
The ballooner halyard idea is pretty

Re: Twin headsail furling
One idea could be to slack the genoa halyard a bit as you manually haul up the ballooner. Maybe best to raise the ballooner on the same side/overlaid on the genoa. Once the ballooner reaches it's stop

Tom,
If you search the archives on this, you will find a few options. This is a task just about every Amel owner will need to do unless they buy a boat already where it
