yes, lubrication and use are the fix spray liberally with Corrosion X then 'Help' it out while using the remote. after a couple of times it should work much better.

You need the "O" rings to be at the HP end of the vessels. So the water from the HP pump goes into the first vessel (track the HP hose) that is where the O ring should be and then the water flows into

You didn't mention how old your batteries are, or who made them. With any voltage setting questions I always go to the manufacturer's literature as the primary source since different batteries
