Re: Intermittent Bow Thruster to Port
Steve,
A year ago I had the same situation as described in your message.
Amel Hyeres sent me a new toggle switch " manipulateur long ref. L22MW1010BRBR "
and the problem was solved.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Intermittent Bow Thruster to Port
Hi Alex,
I agree. That seems to be the most likely cause, but was curious if anyone else has experience this, and what the fix was. Wish I had been smart enough to buy a new joystick switch as a spare

Good morning Steve,
Feels to me it is the joystick.
May be the rubber protection was cracked then some water sip in.
May be removing it then cleaning and adding corrosion X will help…

Intermittent Bow Thruster to Port
When we left our slip in Sint Maarten a few days ago, when I used the bow thruster to port, it intermittently would not respond. If I continued to toggle the joystick back to center and the to port,

Excellent detail. Thanks Eric. Sounds like you too have been down the Yanmar electrical trail. Hopefully i can get this fixed soon, but if not, I may knock on your door when you return.

Re: Chain counter on 54
Did you find the magnet under the lower side of the gipsy - this was rusty and destroyed and made the failure in ours and stopping the counter.

As you face the engine there is a large relay made by valeo to the left of the alternator.
Both the start and stop solenoids get their battery ground from this solenoid when it is closed.

Ben,
It does sound asthough you have a faulty key switch and/or start button. But to ensure theissue is in the panel, what happens when you bypass the panel to start theengine? Some people do this

Chain counter on 54
My 54, hull #31, came with a Lewmar AA500C Windlass Control. It has never worked, and I finally decided to figure it out.
I have seen multiple posts previously with reference to replacement sensors. I

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Antifouling
Hajo,
It is very good to hear from you. Sometimes you can buy it in a 20 liter pale for less than four of the 5 liter cans. Two coats will take more than 16 liters and you can easily do a third coat
