Mark Hanna, who owns Sharki #49 Marguerite, suggested to use “tooth paste” to remove scratches from the windshield and it worked very well for me!

I tried RainX with mixed results…. now I use lots of fresh water from the cockpit hose (to which I’ve added at least 4 meter extension) then gently hand rub the remaining crystals. My

I use PLEXUS plastic cleaner preservative. Seals all clear plastic and makes it easier to flush salt, bird giftings, and dirt from the dodger without scratching it. Great stuff. Expensive as great

How ever you solve it. The most important is that you use a LOT of water to rinse the salt crystals away. They make terrible scratches on the windows.

Windscreen Salt
Harmonie is the first boat I have sailed where the primary view from the helm forward is in under the dodger and through the windows. I do love the arrangement. The canvas part of our dodger easily

I would go with a solid piece of fiberglass , I am sure you can find a scrap in Cole Bay.

I think I'll make a replacement from a little block of plywood wrapped in glass and epoxy and sanded down to size. Either that or have one machined to match from aluminum over at FKG.

I guess I wasn't clear, I meant the Autopilot would not turn the wheel while on "Auto". The clutch engages but the Autopilot won't turn the wheel in response to "+10".
