Paul,
Depending on the amount of use, that element will last 5-10 years before you have to do it again. It is fairly easy to do. On a Super Maramu you can do it with the water heater in place and

Thanks for all the replies. I think this go around I’m going to just do the element and gasket. We shall see if that was the correct decision down the road (or channel).

My Isotemp heater draws around 3.5 amps AC when you turn it on, which after doing the math seems like a 750 watt element

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Isotemp Hot Water Heater Element
Paul,
I last changed it with a 750, but do not know if that was the original size. Be sure you also get a new gasket. I don't think it normally comes with a gasket.

This week a prop switch-out back to the original and a retest.
Servicing of the auto-prop for sure.
We will see what happens!

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Autoprop Plastic Cap and Zinc Anode Sources
FYI: Here is the link to the rudder zincs I use. I stepped up the size and they are great.

R-5 discs fit perfectly, just need to bore the center a tad.

If I remember correctly, Amel is the only source for the plastic H6 prop caps. I am not even sure they are available anymore. I buy the zinc (H6) anodes from boatzincs.com
