Re: Reya Bilge Pump
Hello, is this the gear that turns the rotary action of the motor into the pistoning action the pump needs?

Reya Bilge Pump
I have discovered the nylon gear cog on the main bilge pump has broken. This causes the gear to slip when engaged. Ideally I would ike to replace this gear wheel however, I am not getting any response

We've had Seahawk Cukote (Brown - 3432) since September 2012. Two coats plus a bit of reinforcement at the waterline. Lasted in quite nice condition until February 2015, when two additional coats

Ian, I bought Velox , maybe it is not the same . It also may not work in fresh water , that we have here on the Sassafras River.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Capacity AMFA Bilge Pump???
I also need to replace my FEIT Bilge pump. Is the concensus that it should be replaced with the model AMFA 66B 24v or PVM 0.16 with 26 L/m? Has anyone used a larger capacity model that fits?
John

Hi Pat,
In my case, it was done by a very good yard and I was doing a service on the engines at the time and monitored their process. It was done as you stated but it has vanished in less than 10

Is your prop anti fouling Velox or Velux. Mine is Velux which I got in the Med. I am still using it and have never had any problem. Just wondering if it is a totally different product?

Good morning Duane,
I have only own my vessel for 4 years, but at each haul out I had 2 coats put on, plus a 3rd at the water line.
Last time, March 2015, I actually had put 2 different colors:

We're not in the Caribbean but in the Pacific.
We used Seahawk Cukote in 2014 before heading to Tahiti, it seemed to be OK until we arrived in New Zealand. After 3 months in the marina at gulf harbour

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Bottom Paint time
Duane,
CuKote is an ablative paint. It is a bit simplistic to say with that kind of paint the more you put on the longer it lasts, but that is pretty much true. A second coat of paint is not a big

Bottom Paint time
I'd like your opinion on how many coats of bottom paint to use. We plan on heading into the eastern Caribbean on November 1 and we plan on pulling the boat now for bottom paint, C-Drive, prop and bow
