bug screens for small portholes
I'm looking for suggestions on how to put screens over the small portholes on the SM2000, for example the one over the stove/oven.
Thanks,
Duane

Re: Alternative for not working Sonic Speed sensors
There are basically two types of P79,
One is a direct connection to Hydra 2000 or Raymarine or....any analogue system,
Any of these should work...just cut off the connector and wire directly.

In a related thought on the second half of your post, although at first glance speed through water (STW) and speed over ground (SOG) might seem redundant they are not.
Having both allows you to

Re: Alternative for not working Sonic Speed sensors
For compatibility information on the P79 you might call Airmar directly. They have good tech support.
I have a P79, but did not connect it to the Hydra.

Hi Bill and others,
Thanks for the information and idea's you provided.
Just a question about the Airmar P79 depth only transducer. Which specific model do I need to connect this to the Hydra 2000

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Membranes and O rings
Thanks, Duane. Mine are white, so I'll replace them when I change my filters. I'll be prepping for a few years in the SPac and will buy spares for most everything, that's now on my list. Thanks

Re: Membranes and O rings
Kent,
I have the Duo 60 and recently replaced the filters. They were SW30-2521 from Air Water & Ice, 2.5 inches diameter by 21 inches in length. Another thing to check is the end caps for cracks.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Membranes and O rings
Thanks, Bill.
I didn't know if the 160 just used more membranes, or different ones. Since they are all the same diameter, maybe the fittings and o-rings are the same?
You are a veritable fount on

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Analog Boat Speed Indicator
Gary,
Did you go through the Hydra setup for the gauges? This is the process that assigns gauge "A" data "X"?
Let me know.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Membranes and O rings
Kent,
I know the answer to your question, but you probably want more. The answer is no, they are not the same.
More:
SW30 - stands for saltwater 30 series
2540 - is the measurements of the membrane

Well, hesitated to write before I figured it out, but have an ongoing saga that just seems to beat the odds.
The Boat Speed dial did not have a backlight ... dang it, I wanted a back light! So,

Re: mizzen traveler end stops
Bill, I just got mine off the rack at a marine store in Martinique. No clue what the part number was but it seemed readily available and fit just fine. Should be able to unscrew it and pocket it
