Hi Berndt,
On my SN, this was done by a prior owner. It gives excellent storage space that we use for items less frequently accessed, like filters and engine spares.

Hi Berndt, We have 2 large cutouts in the board under the portside saloon seat cushion, very useful storage. Have never thought these were not original but maybe not?

SANTORIN, whats under the bench?
Hello,
I was wondering if it’s worth to open the space under the saloon sofa on the port side to gain extra stowage on my SN. Has anyone done it and can share information?

We had a UDST800 some time ago. It worked great, and we were very happy with it. Readings were stable, and reliable. Until it stopped working after 3 years. At that price point we felt 3 years

I've rebuilt the genoa swivel on my 1986 Mango twice now. It is very similar to yours, with off the shelf conventional bearings and seals. I had to order most of the parts through the local bearing

Heinz,
Thanks for catching that typo, you are correct. I wrote 38mm, but the main foil profile is 35mm. I believe that most of the A54 main foil profiles were the same diameter as the SM, but because

Re: Anchor sizing
We’ve sailed 27k NM with our rocna 40. It’s more than sufficient. When we’ve dragged, and we have, it’s always been my fault. Always tug test. Always dive the anchor. Always use enough scope.

Re: Swivel head
Normally the swivel is specified in terms of the foil diameter. The main foil diameter of a SM is 38mm.

Re: Swivel head
Heinz,
That is a swivel for your SM but maybe it would work on a Sharki or Maramu? The main sail Sharki swivel is 10 cm diameter, what diameter is the one in your photo?

Re: Anchor sizing
Hi Richard,
Not a direct answer to your question ...
I had trouble with my 30kg Wasi Bugel and replaced it with a 40kg Rocna which I've been happy with. I would have preferred to keep the Wasi Bugel

Ken,
Great photos but your swivel is very different to mine. Mine is all traditional needle roller bearings, see photo. It seems to me that swivels in the 1986- 1989 period had at least three
