Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Which Autopilot drive Rotary or Linear?
Hi Eric. Sounds like a good option. When we set off from Florida in 2009 we had super sail makers build us a heavy weather 90% Yankee cut jib. It is surprisingly effective in moderate conditions. But

Hello Stephanie,
Is your counter damaged? Ours was fine, so when we replaced all the electronics in 2013, we kept the counter.
All we did is relocate the counter to the starboard side, to the right

Kent , Your boat is a later model , perhaps they wired it differently. On mine ,if I shut off the batteries , I have no power to the sump. It would be fairly easy to run a wire from the battery side

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Dry dock bilge usage?
Yes, that requires dedicated wires from the batteries to the pump and breakers.
I'll see if I can find those electrical schematics that show it. May have to wait til I get back to the boat.

Alexandre,
No chance of contaminating the oil. The cooler bolts to the outside of the transmission housing. When you remove it, there is no opening to the oil chamber. The cooling happens through

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Oman won't start!
Same here...
In my case, the genset would start then instantly shut down and the "Field breaker" would pop.
So first check all the beakers.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Hurth Transmission Coolers
Thanks again Bill,
Would be easier if I had the hose already with the dimensions.
Anyway, when you removed the oil cooler, were there any chance that debris or what ever fall into the oil?
I have no

Alexandre,
Very easy to remove. No issues. Four bolts, and two hoses.
My hoses were in good shape, I didn't replace them. They are standard reinforced water hose, available from any marine

We had similar problems. We changed the "brain" (control panel), and had no more problems.

Thanks so much Bill,
Will order Monday.
Was it easy to remove?
By any chance, did you find a source for the hose? especially the hose with the purple arrow…

Kent, So are you saying that when your two battery switches are off, you still have power to the sump pump.

Alexandre,
That is exactly my setup. The cooler is the part where the white hose comes in and the black hose leaves.
The complete cooler with gasket and bolts was US$300 from Foley Engines,

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Hurth Transmission Coolers
Alexandre,
ZF and Hurth transmissions are identical, but I should be clear which one I have.
My engine is the Volvo TMD22, the transmission is a Hurth 250, later in production known as a ZF 25M.
