Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Muffled explosion and smell after using the Eumenia dishwasher
Alexandre,
It is probably a good idea to unplug the unit from the outlet under the sink J
We had an issue similar to yours. The heating element in the unit burned out or shorted. The unit

[Amel Yacht Owners] Muffled explosion and smell after using the Eumenia dishwasher
Good afternoon,
2 weeks ago, I used the Eumenia dishwasher, after the cycle was finished (and light off), I heard like a muffled explosion…
I open the doors under the sink, didn’t see anything,

Kent and Bill,
Good suggestion. One I had read about before and I have painted the area around the bolt holes with nail polish. The hole in the prop zinc is right dead center where

Kent,
I have used Max-Props for almost 20 years. I'll second the comments of your diver about painting the bolt holes.
One of the exciting things that can happen with these end cap zincs is for two

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Zinc-anodes and Autoprop
Hi all,
The design of the prop zincs is such that the thin zinc around the edges at the bolts erodes away at the same rate as the bulk of the anode. When the thin edge is gone, the bolts have nothing

Hi Bill,
Your theory would certainly explain the facts. However, AMEL uses zinc prop anodes instead of the red plastic cap on the Amel 54 and I have not heard that the bonding system on the 54 is

I have always believed that if you have multiple zincs connected in series, that the zinc closest to the protected items will be the first to dissolve. The zinc on the prop would be the closest zinc
