Re: GALLEY FAUCET REPLACEMENT OLDER MARAMU
You could try sub-compact shower controls like Barka available from Penguin Engineering in UK. I replaced the taps and showers in the heads and I have bought taps to replace the galley taps but

On Cerulean (Hull #105) I swapped out the old two way and installed a proper salt water faucet and main unit.

Hi Drew,
Just saw your post. An old friend of yours Kent Cochran mentioned that he knew you from the old Nashville days. Kent lives up Rock Creek Road and comes to Montana quite often. Good to see

Bill & Joel,
Thanks for clearing this up.
I guess that, even though the propshaft alternator rotates at high speed
whenever the engine is driving the boat, it's not a problem if its field

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] GALLEY FAUCET REPLACEMET OLDER MARAMU
When we purchases our Maramu 7 years ago it had already had the galley faucet replaced and there were 2 holes in the wood above the sink. There was nothing we could do but cover them up with small

GALLEY FAUCET REPLACEMENT OLDER MARAMU
Can anyone suggest a practical way to replace the faucet in the galley of the Older Maramu?
The piping goes behind the woodwork and it was modified to accommodate the water coming from the foot pump

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Advice re the propshaft alternator
The previous owner didn't weld the key ring so it could not be opened. Amel did this to prevent accidentally running the shaft alternator with the diesel running. Did you see my reply I posted on

Marina Recommendations for Norfolk area
We're currently in Southport NC and will be heading to the Chesapeake Bay next week. We have to fly home soon for a couple days, so we thought Norfolk would be a good choice. Does anyone have any

Advice re the propshaft alternator
I'm a new owner of a 1989 Maramu. I have received conflicting advice about the operation of the propshaft alternator. The previous owner told me that I must never have the propshaft alternator

Eric,
The previous owner of Cream Puff replaced the aft unit with a Marine Air
10,000 BTU unit. It was a plug and play change. However, the unit lasted
only about 6 years and after we purchased

Yes it was to you, and thank you, I was afraid that's the only option it must have cost a bit,

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] flexible coupling
Just a thought.
If you remove the key from the shaft in the coupling and put in a cotter pin instead you have made a shear pin. It just might break, if to hit something hard with your prop, and save

Hi,
Has anyone replaced their Air Conditioners for a brand other than Climma?
If so what unit did you use?

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Drain the Racor Pre-Filter?
I cut a 1 liter bottle down the middle and cut off the end.
I place the end under the drain at an angle over the stringer and collect the liquid in a small cup.
It takes time as I still need to use

Re: Drain the Racor Pre-Filter?
HI Duane,
Directly beneath the double Racor filters there is enough room to slide a small dog type water or feed bowl, a piece of old orange coloured gas hose will fit onto the black
