Jordan Drogue
Every time I have had to put out the drogue it happened when something that was predicted by the weather gurus did not happen. A low turned around or some other unpredicted weather event happened.

Re: Electric Motor/Pump to the toilet
The leak is probably the shaft seal .
There are kits available for these pumps that provide all the parts needed to repair these pumps, Defender, West Marine etc have them.
Cheers

Hi Paul,
On Kristy, SM243, also 1999, the heads are Jabsco QuietFlush large bowl model 37245-1094. The macerator pumps are the same Jabsco 740001-2853 24V that you describe. The fill pumps are Jabsco

Gerhard,
As Jeff mentioned if the drogue is out you will be in severe conditions. The boat will be frequently under water by breaking waves with only the masts sticking out of the sea. Not a problem
