Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: no fuse in my Bow thruster control box
It seems as though Cream Puff was built pre-fuse era. Could some please post a good picture and if you have knowledge of the wire gauge on the pos wire to the bow thruster motor, that would be helpful

Re: Depth sounder fault causes leakage current?
Olivier,
This seems to be a tough road. I will follow your guidance.
The interesting thing is that the leakage comes and goes erratically.

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: no fuse in my Bow thruster control box
Good evening,
originally, there was no fuse protecting the jack motor. In case of a rope caught in the bowthruster foot, the motor was unable to lift the unit all the way up and this caused the motor

Raymarine Type II rotary drive gear
Does anyone know which specific size drive gear I need wheninstalling Raymarine Type II rotary drive.
I'm replacing my original NECO autopilot in my 1987 AMELMaramu #231. I have all new Raymarine

Good morning Eric,
Glad my pictures are useful!
To answer: “What causes the fuse to blow”.
In “my” case, one of the sensors stop working, I was bringing up the bow thruster, it did not stop

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: no fuse in my Bow thruster control box
Derick,
Kimberlite was built for me.
Sounds like a simple fuse in the
Jack motor circuit should do the trick.
I will investigate further.

In circuit terms the fuse goes in either one of the wires going to the linear actuator motor (jack motor) - I do remember someone posting that they had simply cut the wire going to the motor and put

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Long Island Sound
Thanks Eric, Ric, and Derick,
Anyplace else on Long Island Sound besides Mystic Seaport that's a "must do"?
New London / Groton has a Submarine Museum I'd like to see.
Eric, I should be in Huntington

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: no fuse in my Bow thruster control box
Derick,
Looking at Alexandres photo of his control box, the fuse appears to be inserted into the circuit board.
It is interesting that his boat is a lower hull number and yours is a higher hull

Eric,
Having blown that fuse once already, I think it is a good idea to have one. I am not on the boat at present, so I cannot send a more detailed picture of how it is connected. Perhaps someone

no fuse in my Bow thruster control box
I was working on the bow thruster to grease the spline. I decided to open the control box mounted on the jack assembly. Unlike photos posted by Alexandre my control box has no fuse, should I mount one

Good evening Martin,
to make sure the problem comes from the depth sounder, you should disconnect the negative wire of the supply. If you mean the B&G Hydra 3000 depth sounder, this would sound

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Request advice Dessalator Watermaker D140 or D150
Yes, I made a mistake. The capacitors are 30mf each. I split the motor looking for a centrifugal switch to disconnect the "start capacitors". There was none, making the existing ones run capacitors
