Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Question regarding procedures for aligning engine on SM
Hi again Todd. To change the engine mounts under the angle irons, you will have to unfasten the CDrive from the beds. I suspect when you get the new mounts in place the CDrive will bolt right to it.

Henri Amel did not do it that way in the first place probably (insist on “probably”) because it would make it more difficult to rig the emergency rudder gear when needed. And when it is needed,

Mike, I purchased this one.

it can reach the water from almost anywhere on the boat. I use a Fluke multimeter.

Hi Todd,
I would for sure try four new mounts, and, obviously, a new alignment, as, pushing one side and then the other one, dońt feel the same. You may have two older mounts.

Thanks so much Kent and Olivier. Yes, indeed, the vibration lessens at higher RPMs. At 1800 it is very smooth. At that RPM the front C drive bearing / top of the C drive runs at about 156 degrees F by

Good morning Todd,
you mention there are less vibrations when in gear than when the engine is running out of gear. How about the rpm? Do the vibrations increase when you raise the rpm? If so, this

We have been thinking of making that change as well. Adding a cooling plate that runs only when we have the Dieselgenerator running, meaning it will not effect the batteries. The area will of course
