Re: To all Amel 54's - Lower Shrouds Main Mast
Thanks Peter.
As mentioned, ours too is 10mm but the paperwork from the rigging company Amel uses (ACMO) showed that it is meant to be 12mm.
These were the shrouds that strangely failed in less than 8

Dear Faial,
I think mine are 10mm for lower shrouds but I will measure when I’m next on board.
I attach [ actually I could not attach as it was too big a message] herewith a copy of the Amel 54

Bill, I have two laser therometers. I did not think to measure , if I had to guess it had to be 140 degrees or so. Thanks, Pat

Re: [Amel Yacht Owners] Re: Dessalator Low Pressure Pump Relay Bypass
Gary, I think the low pressure gauge was hardly registering . I am in brackish water ,so I can't use it until next fall. I was planning to get new filters, and I will for sure replace the capacitor.

Thanks Bill and Gary for your responses. I have now run the by-pass and there is still no BP action, so I will investigate the BP start/run capacitor and whether the BP get 220V when the start switch

Pat,
I have not recorded the temp of the LP pump, but have recorded the separate temps of the HP pump and motor. After 1 hour of running in the tropics, they are usually about 65-70 degrees and 98-102
