I can see how a faulty sensor could lead to the burning up of the small DC motor that lifts and lowers the bow

I think that I persuaded 99.9% of the folks I sold Amels to have both the masthead tri color and the deck level lights. My logic was that offshore, ships are more likely to see the masthead tri color

That's cleared that up thanks. The charted boats I've hired previously had a tri-colour at the mast head for sailing and the steaming+side lights+stern when under power (not that I was allowed

The steaming light should just be one plain white light showing forwards about half way up the mast.
The coloured lights are Nav light not to be confused with steaming.
