I have the same thing on the port side only. The previous owner said that it had been referred to Amel, who said something to the effect of "it happens" and they did not have a cause, or a solution,

Re: [Amel] RE: Pickling watermaker
Kent, I was just speaking with Richard yesterday and he suggested to mix the chemicals with the pink, potable antifreeze meant for water systems to keep the membranes from freezing.

What to use to treat the interior of the Bow Thruster?
I completely put apart the bow thruster (will post pictures when I am done)
Once I put it back together, what should I use to treat the interior of the Bow Thruster?
Should it be just the same

I don't remember who it was, but someone on this forum recommended the pink environmentally friendly engine coolant that is also used to winterized recreational vehicles.

Bill, Thanks again ,I wish I knew nothing about freezing, or preparing for freezing conditions, alas I have been winterizing my sailboats for 30 some years, but never a watermaker. I cracked the glass

I know little about prepping for a winter freeze, but I would think that the small amount of Sodium Metabisulfite used with fresh water would not keep the solution from freezing.

Super Maramu rear bumper
While looking at your hard bimini, I noticed a photo of two Super Maramu bumpers.
Can you tell me the story about these?

Re: [Amel] RE: Engine room hatch bulge - Super Maramu
Yes, we have the same. The bulge is not visible, but you can feel it. We have not changed the struts.
Don't know for how long we have hade it but a cuple of years and it has been worse.

Re: [Amel] RE: Engine room hatch bulge - Super Maramu
Hi Bill and Jamie,
I have the same bulges appearing on my engine room cover. Looks like the fibreglass is not thickened enough in the area where the struts are attached. My boat is number 381.
