Re: [Amel] Perkins Diesel M50 Prima in 1993 Santorin
Hello Stephanie,
In fact, the Perkins lump was in Ford transit vans in the EU market for what seems like eons...
Parts readily available outside Volvo Stealers!

Re: [Amel] Perkins Diesel M50 Prima in 1993 Santorin
Ciao Jean-Pierre!
In my research, I saw that Volvo had taken over the Perkins M50 Prima, but I was not sure if We were able to cross the Volvo parts with the Perkins engine. Thank you for that

Re: [Amel] Perkins Diesel M50 Prima in 1993 Santorin
Hello Stephanie,
Volvo use a Perkins diesel rebranded as Volvo. My (now sold) old boat had a Volvo TMD 22 which is exactly the engine installed in SM and SM2k to an extent.
Get Perkins spares = 1/3

We're just finishing our voyage home to North Wales on Ocean Hobo, Santorin no.96. We have not used the sea berth as we too find the aft cabin the best place to sleep. We did a five night passage

The "navigator berth" in the main salon is a snug fit for any one over 5'9" if they stretch out or are a heavy built person. Partially due to the cabinets above. BUT in a blow, bigger guys will find

One slept in the pilot berth, one had head on curved end of port settee.
Hope that helps.

Do their feet hit the curved ends at the forward part of the settees?
Thanks,
Frank

Not sure but Mike is just under 6' ,and our son is 6' 1 ,and slept fine on the bunks. A mini tempur pillow was great.

Re: [Amel] RE: Cleaning the fresh water tanks
Have you tried hydrogen peroxide (min 3% solution, available in any drug store? Spray it on full strength. Let it work, then rinse. If it is still there, try again. Also Borax might work -- 1 cup

Hi again,
I'm stuck. I've filled the tanks with 2 gallons of household bleach and let it sit overnight. I've brushed with a stiff brush on a pole. At Bill's suggestion, I've purchased an 1800psi
