Re: [Amel] Super Maramu standing rigging replacement
The absolutely required short turnbuckle is available at a good price from Nance and Underwood Riggers here in Lauderdale. They CAD/CAM produce it locally and I can promise you that it fits perfectly

Re: Super Maramu standing rigging replacement
Are you staying with metric sizes?
Have you checked with Amel to see what they'd charge for new standing rigging? Getting anything done in California is ridiculously expensive so you might come out

Terry, You may want to take a look at the turnbuckle on the forestay , it is not an off the shelf turnbuckle thus may take longer to obtain. Its rather short in order to accommodate the furler . I do

Re: [Amel] Lift or uphaul= outhaul?
It seemsthat the bungees in the booms are degraded by the sun at the masts becausethere is an opening at the boom there. As a temporary measure (lasted a year) Ijust removed the shackle at the mast

Hi, if you put a knot in the topping lift cord inside the block (pulley) before it comes out of the boom if the bungee fails the weight is carried on the cord. The bungee is used to take up the slack

Lift or uphaul= outhaul?
On our Maramu we have a problem with the boom lift. It does not keep the boom from swinging when the mainsail is furled, so the previous owner just had two elastic ropes tied to the shrouds. Does not
