Re: [Amel] RE: Sharki cutless bearing
Greg,
The shaft comes out of the boat at a slight angle which helps overcome prop walk. There was no problem removing the shaft. We just slid it out. I doubt you'll have an issue with the Sharki.

There is no Neutral on the Amel shore power.
The engine and Generator have a floating ground. In other words the motors are only connected to the boat ground when they are starting.

Re: [Amel] Yanmar Starting Problem
Check your fuel filter, sounds like you may have a eco system in there that blocked your filter. To check shutdown solenoid S/D, get someone else to start/shutdown while you look at the S/D stroke,

Re: [Amel] Onan Generator 11kWa
I have installed a "pompe de gavage" (feeding pump) between the sea chest and the onan raw water pump and have experience no problem. As I understand it, it is what onan recommends.

I would check the batteries first. Especially if they were plugged in the dock during those 2 months.
Shut down the charger. wait 24 hours. then measure the current, not the voltage by using a big

Dave,
How did you get the daft to clear the rudder skeg? Maybe there is more room on a Maramu?
You mentioned Cheoy Lee some time back. I had one many years ago and it was missing

I understand that our beloved boats were designed to have the negative side of the DC
