Maramu Rudder
Hello Maramu Owners,
We have had Libertad in the boatyard for a couple of months and silly me, I asked the yard to fill some bumps in the bottom of the skeg we received when lightly bouncing

Golden Daze, Maramu 192 crossed the Atlantic twice with both.
We ended up using the satphone only. We used provider uuplus for
our email, which allows you to control what is sent to you and

I agree with Joel and will leave this debate up to those in this group who
are vastly more experienced, however, we have always install an SSB

Hi Everybody. Serious ocean going voyaging cruisers should have both. SSB for the nets and superb local and regional information sharing. Sat phone for always being able to contact someone at anytime

Our SM 2000 does not have SSB and the previous owner crossed the Atlantic a couple of times with a satellite phone with data rather than SSB. I am interested in views on the pros and cons of both

Synthetic rubber filler insert in the rubrail
Further to my last directions regarding changing out the synthetic rubber
part of the rub rail. Here is some more helpful information. Use plenty of
dish soap/water to get the rubber very slippery.

Regrettably our stay in New Caledonia was only about a week. I met someone from the UK that spent 12 years traveling between New Cal and New Zealand and occasionally Fiji and/or Tonga.
