Split Lead SSB antenna, which slides over the mizzen stay without undoing
anything. Cable ties hold it on and you apply these

Thank you for responding. I thought the same thing but the owner's manual I have for the boat mentions periodic lubrication. Maybe it was lost in translation?

Although it is a very long time since I used to install Teleflex steering systems I seem to recall that the cables are sealed for life and have a plastic/teflon type liner and lubrication was

There are enough non modified , well maintained 1990 SM to avoid this
curious one. In fact you will have a lot of difficulties in some years to
re-sell her due to the propulsion
