[Amel] Re: Wind Generator on an AMEL 54
I think the U-drive may have something to do with the shaft generator being eliminated. Our Maramu has a simple straight shaft so fitting a shaft generator was simple enough. I'm not sure if it would

Re: [Amel] Maramu stuffing box issue
Eric,
Thanks for the response. I checked the PSS website and they offer exactly what we'd need - http://www.shaftseal.com/en/products/37
I prefer the traditional stuffing box but the PSS works fine

I used the spartan box on my Tartan 37 and used west marines dripless packing. I put about 20,000 miles on it and never a drip or a problem.

Re: [Amel] Maramu stuffing box issue
You should be able to buy a stuffing box with anything from 2" to 2.5" hose. I
just repowered my boat with the yanmar, new shaft, prop. and I installed a PSS
dripless stuffing box. I can't remember

The boat is in Mexico and I'm in the states doing some shopping. Before I left I noted that our stuffing box is attached to the log with 2 inch (51mm) hose. When I went to buy a new stuffing box today
