Regarding 2 Stroke oil. Being from a mechanicle background, you can use any oil
in a 2 stroke. I've actually seen a bloke who used to use his sump oil in a
chainsaw with no detrimemental effect. A

Re: [Amel] Shaft pitting on Dessalator low pressure pump
To repair the shaft: you can have it ground and nickle plated and that will take
care of the pits for good.

Re: [Amel] Re: Shaft pitting on Dessalator low pressure pump
For whatever it is worth we use a Surflo pressure pump to feed the high pressure
pump that delivers 800 L per hour at 35 PSI. it keeps the feed to the high
pressure pump constant and never goes over

Re: Shaft pitting on Dessalator low pressure pump
I am guessing that you have a 230 volt 160 liter water maker...if so:
This may be what you are looking for...a Magnetic Drive March May pump AC-5P-MD 230v 1020 gph max for $149...see it at:

Shaft pitting on Dessalator low pressure pump
Leaking from the impellor housing is caused by pitting on the impellor shaft, the seals are fine, however how can the shaft be repaired or replaced or can the pump be replaced with an after market

Re: [Amel] Volvo TMD 22 RPM SM 2000
Hi again it would be good if you keep the arm that goes to the vacuum device lubes and the shaft that goes into the turbo. On that shaft I'd use penetrating oil like crc5-56 to keep it free.

In thinking about it some more I'd go for the 285 and put a co2 alarm in the engine room. We did. That will also alert you of an exhaust leak or a fire.

Re: [Amel] Re: Halon Fire Suppression and Halon canister
It looks like the next option would be one that would automatically fire the halon at 285d F. Whenever I go down into the engine room I guess I let some heat out, but it never seems like it gets

Kent think about this the engine runs at around 190 f given that the fans carryoff some of the heat the engine will in the summer heat gain some amount if you have a memory
