Neco Autopilot
Hi All,
the Neco Autopilot on my Mango #18 1981 is not working properly anymore. The mechanics seem to be OK, i.e. the motor works, the clutch locks in and the pilot might even work for 15 to 30 min.

I think the yacht broker is simply trying to capitalize on the Amel reputation. If he were a more honest sort he would use wording on the order of "similar to Amel" instead of listing it the way he

Sorry, yes I did. We're near Kingston. Probably easiest to send you the motor housing and caps .
We'll be back in NY on the 24th.

Re: [Amel] Re: Going up the mast - Going up solo - Alternative to the GriGri
I used the Grigri for years without problems and unless you get inverted, you can always put a back up knot such as a prusik knot.
I mentioned this to a climbing friend and he did indeed say that

The listing (in German) says the boat's builder was a predecessor to Amel.

Re: [Amel] looks like somebody stole the maramu hull mold.
It's ALMOST a Maramu but not quite. The transom is not vertical, the galley is layed out differently and the coach roof is all wrong.
The ad says it's a forerunner to Amel, whatever that means.
