Re: Water expansion tank
You do not need to go to a "marine" store to buy this. Buy it in a water well pump store. Buy one twice as large as what you have and have them set it for 40PSI before you leave their store.

Re: [Amel] ELECTRICAL ISSUES MARAMU
Just to clarify, our Maramu has no genset and both battery banks are 12V. There are 3 alternators: house and engine banks and the shaft mounted alternator. We have and Air X wind generator and 2 x 65W

Re: [Amel] ELECTRICAL ISSUES MARAMU
Alex your post said Maramu is it a 12 volt boat or 12 and 24 volt. The solution suggested earlier assumed all 12 volt. If you need both 12 and 24 you'll need tow chargers.

One major thing to look out for is the difference in voltage between the two banks. On our SM, the engine/genset starter battery is 12VDC and the house battery bank is 24VDC. Is that the same

Hi Alex normally when you charge more than one batt bank you install a device to manage multiple banks. That every bank gets a proper charge and you don't over charge. We did it on out Maramu

Hi Barry, the copper was very corroded so was not able to tell. However the outlet tube of the tank is not tapered. The fitting you are going to try I imagine has a spear on one end and is threaded on
