Pat, My Amel is set up the exact same way, both the engine and PSA key are on a welded ring so it's either one or the other. My PSA key switch (panel) is directly starboard in the companionway and

Well i for one think this topic is very interesting.
When you say the two keys are secured together do you mean they are on the
same key ring so to operate one you have to remove the other or

I've had the same experience, David. Eventually they usually respond, but it's typically 3-6 wks before I hear back from them. I've found that Maud Touillet of Customer Service usually gets back

I am considering to buy 1977 - 1980 used Amel Maramu 45 feet.

The furling masts were manufactured by Nirvarna in Switzerland. The mainmast section is approximately the same as a Z Spar Z900E which is rated for a 41 to 45 ft boat.

I have a Sharki # 127 and I am surprised to hear that the roller furler is very heavy. There is no doubt that the mast is substantial but the roller furler is a light weight tube about 1" in

thanks for the reply. you may still want to "tee" the oil pressure port and
install a gauge on one side to be sure you are always getting good pressure.
