Re: [Amel] Battery Replacement-AMEL 54
I do not know if you have the same battery as I do but on my boat we have
what is called group 31 batteries. They were an exact replacement for the
factory batteries. They are an inexpensive truck

Re: [Amel] Specifications / Inventory of Standing Rigging
Gary,
I really did not look at the estimate in depth. FKG is a world class metal,
fiberglass, machine, rigging shop. They stand by their estimates.
If they left something out it would be no charge

Hi Eric:
Thanks for the estimate. In going through the estimate and trying to match up all the studs (the threaded part that goes into the turnbuckle), I only see 17 studs listed in the estimate yet

Gary,
We had a Caribe on our Santorin for 13 years, and loved it. It was eventually nicknamed "Lazarus" as the dinghy manufacturer here in Phuket kept it serviceable each year with only minor

Hey, Gary,
I replaced everything. I used swages instead of mechanical connections. My rigger told me that I could probably replace with SAE sizes instead of metric for 25% less in materials costs

Gary,
If you send me your email I will send you an estimate I received from FKG
rigging in SXM.
It was about 10K and they thought the turnbuckles were fine

Re: [Amel] Re: Super Maramu Lifiting Points
No spreader bar are nessecary. You can lift with a small inclination so the cable of the crane does not touch the backstay of the main mast.
