Dessalator watermaker high pressure hoses
Hi:
I am the Amel owner that Kent Robertson mentioned yesterday. I foolishly assumed that Kent had the same model watermaker as mine, and ordered the ones he spec'ed. They are beautifully done

Re: [Amel] 220 volt puzzle on SM
Judy,
If you have damage to the charger a new one is about 1800 US. I had to buy a
new one as I did not have time to send it to France.
I finally sent the damaged one to dolphin; they charged me

Thanks, Eric. Needless to say, Gonzales the electrician didn't show today. I had hoped that in Catalan, which they speak in these parts, lunes was not interchangeable with manana but clearly

SSB antennas and rigging terminals
The transceivers for short wave transmission send a low current signal to the aerial tuner which matches the frequncy as best it can to the length of the actual antenna and sends it on at high power

[Amel] 220 volt puzzle on SM
Dear Ian and Judy,
I do not think the problem is in the transfer switch. If you look in the 220
volt panel you will see three large white ceramic connectors at the top of
the box. One has Blue wires

Re: [Amel] Re: Onan voltage regulator
Thanks, Jean and Richard. We won't be trying to use anything with 60 hz--just curious to see from the handbook if the new washing machine could actually cope with 60 hz. Cheers, Ian and Judy, Pen

Thanks, Eric. That makes it easier to explain and I suspect the solution will be there. The carpet measurements were spot on! We have deep pile everywhere, in a slightly darker blue than before,

Re: [Amel] Re:Propane gas line chafe/Wood finish in Amels
I believe the chafe on my hose came from the stove moving while cooking. We
keep it locked otherwise.
I am glad we had a problem with the stove otherwise I would have not seen
that the stove had worn

I do keep it locked unless in use, just wondering where the chafe came from. If stove is kept locked it must just be the movement of the hose when underway???

Re: [Amel] 220 volt puzzle on SM
Ian,
One of the boxes behind the generator is a transfer switch. It disconnects
the shore power when the genset is running. In that way if the shore power
is out and someone is working on the problem

Kent keep the stove locked when under way unless it is being used. That is best for you the stove and the wood work.

Hi Ivan, I forgot a question.
For the SSB antenna you used the line with insulators on top between the two masts or one fitted on the stern?

If my experience is of any value, I would recommend that you do not “try”
your machine with 60 Hz unless you get a reliable professional assessment
