Pat,
I have to say that I am so used to seeing the two raised lines running along the fitting that I no longer notice them, however the swage can be rolled and then turned through 90 degrees and

We have been on the hook for two weeks and the starting battery seems to be losing its charge. I believe the small alternator on the generator as well as the small alternator on the main engine

Graham, It is indeed the Wire Tecnik swager I was talking about. You are
the second one to give it a thumbs up. Can you tell me how significant the
creases or lines on the swage left by the tecnik

HI Pat,
If the machine you refer to is from the WireTeknik company then I can confirm that in the UK they are the industry standard machine. They are Lloyds Register of Shipping Approved.

There has been a few post lately about using truck batteries in our Amels. It is my understanding that truck and car batteries cannot stand up to the rigors of a boat discharging its batteries
