Re: Front furler Bamar MEJ upgrade to EJF? Is it worth it?
Make sure with the Bamar that it is set up to drain properly otherwise the brake will fail and ruin the motor
Otherwise great piece of kit
Cheers

Further to Porter’s review below – or theconnection between the EJF and the aluminum furler.
I checked RECKMANN before ordering the 3rd set of BAMAR’s but the price difference was extreme.

The EJF is fantastic. Flawless operation and a pleasure to use.
No belt. One just has to be careful, whereas the weakest link in the MEJ was the belt, the weakest link in the EJF may now be the deck

Hi Stefan,
I have, what I believe, the 3rd generation BAMAR. This version is NOT belt driven but gear driven.
No problems at all – major improvement over the previous 2 versions.

Dear Ameliens,
I consider to change the genua furler (MEJ) to the newest BAMAR model (EFJ?) - if the technic is much better then the MEJ-modell (bad engineered + belts) . There where recently 2

Re: Carrying Tender on Davits while crossing
Hi Alex;
Thanks for the reply.
Which Amel do you have? If a 54, did you have to make any modifications or make changes to the attachment points on the 310 for a good fit and connection when pulled

Yes, I believe I do.
I have a full working system on Mango #29 that we were preparing to remove so we can install a new electronics package.
You are welcome to PM me and we can talk!

Hi Mohammad,
Coming back to your 5 questions, here are my 5 cents:

Amel water cooled refrigeration & Frigoboat/Fowjet saltwater pump
As owners of water-cooled Frigoboat refrigeration are aware, the Frigoboat 12 volt saltwater pump marked VECO A092319C is actually made by Flojet and is a Flowjet 4105-512 12 volt seawater pump.
