Hi Mohammad and Aty, 

We quite liked Gaeta Italy.  Put Liesse on the hard there 3 years yrs ago.  Nice beach in walking distance, cute town w great pizza. It s easy to access Rome, Naples, Pompei ( highly recommend if you haven t been yet) by train.  Great spot for routine haulout and storage and although they have marine services we found it somewhat challenging to communicate with them although Jayne Koehler an expat living in Gaeta is (was?) a fixture there for years and was quite helpful.  Again wouldn t recommend for complex jobs.  She had a small ebook ‘Welcome to Gaeta’ which was helpful.  Can PM you her contact info if uou would like it.

Bill,

The original oil pressure sensor for versions A, B and C is 3445696, replaced by model 8151889 (with an adaptor as the thread is different, 14-10) to be bipolar.
For versions D, E, F the original sensor is 21634021, the thread is 16mm and there seems to be 4 connectors. I don't know if it is the bipolar model 8151889 that is installed with an adapter, it would have to see on an engine but access is very difficult without disassembly.

Thanks Bill. Trying to stay North. We did stay in Licata for a couple of years and really liked it. Although Sicily has been getting hit by multiple water spouts lately. Our initial plan of 3-4 years in the Med has already extended to 8. Too much to see, and no rush, but world is a big place and time is short. Who came up with this 100 year age span anyway? Lol.

 

Genova Marinas look fairy interesting and well protected. Anyone stay in Genova for winter or even a transit?

Martin, you can find balls on the site Accastillage-diffusion.com.
There are two rows of balls, one in Torlon (lower) and one in Delrin (upper) but I don't remember the size of the balls and I won't be going to the boat for a month (if you can wait, I'll tell you)

this is an Lewmar VX3 1.500 Watt. We mounted it to serve for the stern anchor. The switches are positioned just portside to the windlass. In the lazarette we added a chain chest which keeps 8 m of chain (10 mm) and some 50 m anchor line.

The idea is to use both, stern anchor and windlass, in Patagonian waters and may be in Greece too.

There has been a very small oil leak that side of the engine and no space to see due to the fuel tank location.
I could not find it all last summer and autumn, until I bought a selfie stick and took lots of photos with my phone, that finally revealed the problem.
