I have to raise the sail a little higher to insert the lower end in the track below the insertion point, then drop it back down a little. That make sense? Lewmar Winch Control box question

Libby's Starboard Genoa sheet winch stopped working between Galapagos and the Marquesas some while back. I have just got down to trouble shooting and diagnosed a bad circuit board in the control box. I switched the bad board for the main sheet control box circuit board and all is good. Has anyone replaced this circuitboard? Where am I able to source a replacement from? The printed number on the board is Lewmar B2959 24V Any help is appreciated Terry&Dena SV Libby, Moorea FP SM#197

Luff tape on sails- I think i am losing it.

We were out today in a glorious breeze and I unfurled my new headsail. I noticed that the luff tape on the head sail; did not go below the groove for installing the sail in the foil.
I thought when I mounted my sails in the past I ran the sail up the groove in the foil and then had to lift the tack to the groove and bring it down to the bottom of the foil. Am I hallucinating or was it always this way.
I do not have my old sail for comparison. And all my other sails are off the boat.

One other item I thought I would share: That same day, the Volvo engine refused to start; not a peep, no gauges activated, dead, dead, dead. Discovered there was no power to the instrument panel. I had been running some SeaTalk-ng cabling through that area for a new autohelm and chart plotter, so was eager to blame myself. Indeed, what I discovered was an electrical toggle switch box similar to the windlass and anchor wash switches. It is located on top of the 220 volt panel, in a very difficult place to see or access. The SeaTalk cable must have pushed the toggle switch down when I was pulling it through. Very simple solution once I found it (but which took quite a bit of time to find). SM Windlass question

Having dropped 120 feet of chain, my windlass died. It appears to be the electric motor, hopefully just a new set of brushes. Fortunately, I had enough muscle power assistance on board to raise the anchor. However, I also looked into how to use the windlass manually. There is a handle that fits into the windlass that appears to allow one to raise the anchor by repeatedly turning the windless with the handle. The problem seems to be that there is only one hole into which to insert the handle. The area 180 degrees from the hole is taken by the chain counter button. I am unable to unscrew the button; in addition, the screw portion looks fairly small, as if it might not take the diameter of the handle. Any suggestions? I find it hard to believe that Amel would have modified the windlass to the point where one cannot raise the anchor by hand. Thanks! Tom Peacock SM 240 Aletes

Hi Dennis I have owned Aphrodite for 15 years don't know much of her history. Two months ago the gearbox died I had a new one shipped to Fiji. I put the same one in a HBW 250-3R 2.71 ratio.
