I do not know how (or if) the Maramu fittings are different, but on my Super Maramu the pole fittings were made by FranceSpar. The infallible (not!) internet says that FranceSpar stopped

It doesn’t matter where you clear in, the paperwork in Colombia is incredible. One mistake in the paperwork , and you have to do it again, even a misspelling.

I recall Santa Marta and other places in Colombia take a week to clear in .
I wrote to Kelly and asked if that horrible coal burning plant is still working—It is.

SM 243 (1999) does not have the screw and washer. I use blue RTV to hold the lip seal in place. Since doing that and following all other instructions, I've had no water incursion.

One of the great things about the Amel design that is not immediately obvious, is when it is set up properly and sealed well there is normally almost no water in the bow thruster trunk. Air bubbles
